Nuttery at Sissinghurst Castle Gardens
The Nuttery at Sissinghurst Castle Gardens is a shady haven for it's Kentish cobnuts trees, and is planted in a cool palette of white, blue and lime-yellow. When Harold Nicholson and Vita Sackville-West viewed the property in April 1930. Harold later recorded in his diary the moment they decided to buy Sissinghurst. 'We came suddenly upon the nutwalk.' he wrote, 'and that settled it.'
